Hi Tiffany,

If I'm not careful, research can become a self-righteous way of procrastinating. Who can fault an author conducting tons of research? I agree -- give me emotion and relationships every time.

Hiya Bree!

Well, it's about time you rolled on over here and let all us Breenatics know what you've been up to...but next time how about making up some glamorous story instead of telling us you've been doing "normal" stuff. LOL. Kidding.

Polluting your brain? Yeck! Stop that, girl. You need all that grey matter fresh for thoughts of "You Know Who".

Now put your hands up, step away from the fanfic, put your butt in your chair and get to writing my stories!!! :-)

Maureen,

I am sooo glad to hear you say that you get lost in research, too. I almost trashed my 95,000 word manuscript because I got so overwhelmed trying to research Victorian England. As a reader, I am more invested in the characters than the time setting. I want accuracy but I don't care about obscure nuances - give me emotion and relationships!

Love your blog!
